My name is Troll and I make art

I’m currently available for commissions, workshops and absurdity

I observe how we, like other species, inhabit vulnerable vessels that seek symbiotic relationships, undergoing cycles of growth, dormancy, transformation, and eventual decay. This personal lens allows me to reflect on the diverse roles in which my body has been used as a receptacle, a sexual object, a site of pleasure, and at times a subject of scrutiny. From these observations, I draw inspiration from biomorphic influences to create ambiguous forms, filtered through my own perspective of trans abstraction to develop forms that seem unknown and familiar. Trans abstraction is my own definition that is a form of abstraction that encapsulates the fluidity of gender. It’s the act of dismantling fixed notions of identity and reflects the ever-evolving nature of self. Visually, my work is biomorphic and draws from the visceral textures, folds, crevices and forms found on all organic life forms, but most often derived from the human body, flora and fauna.
